Ari Salmi: The board of directors must strive for conditions of success

The founder and chairman of Logistikas Ltd, Ari Salmi, is a distinguished and active figure in the economy of Rauma. When he got chosen as the chairman of the board of the local ice hockey team Rauman Lukko in 2016, the local newspaper, Länsi-Suomi, titled him as the “savior of the shipyard”.

– Lukko is the apple of Rauma’s eye and to be chosen as the chairman of its board is incredibly humbling, Salmi reflected on the pages of Länsi-Suomi. 

– The shipyard of Rauma currently has an excellent economic standing, and Lukko played well during the last hockey season as well. Moreover, the economic situation of Logistikas is great, so there is something we must have done right thus far. The board of directors in organizations such as Logistikas, Rauma Marine Constructions and Lukko must strive for conditions of success for profit to be made. That is what I wake up to do daily.
